Migaloo, the famously elusive albino humpback whale, was reportedly spotted by eagle-eyed whalewatchers off the east coast of Australia on Tuesday.
Alison Reid, who photographed the unique sea creature — which is named after the indigenous Australian word for "white fella" — was ecstatic to make the discovery on film.
"Truly amazing," Reid told weather.com in a Facebook message. "1 in 27,000 chance."
She made the eye-popping sighting off the coast of New South Wales.

While some were convinced the animal was undoubtedly the storied white whale, others were skeptical of the animal's authenticity.
"Migaloo is a much larger animal, older animal, the animal we saw today is smaller," Sea World's Trevor Long told Australia's 9news.
Whether or not the whale was truly Migaloo, Long confirmed the sighting was a considerably rare sight.
"We probably won't see these white whales come back until late September, maybe early October," Long added.
